普洱茶產于云南西雙版納等地,因自古以來即在普洱集散,因而得名。普洱縣城又作普洱哈尼族自治縣,隸屬思茅地區,位于云南省南部,距昆明373公里,原稱寧洱縣。“普洱”為哈尼語,“普”為寨,“洱”為水灣,意為“水灣寨”,帶有親切的“家園”的含義。
